Pinot Days Comes to Los Angeles

Hooray for more wine events in LA! Pinot Days brings their Pinot loving events to So Cal for the first time ever Thursday January 14th through Sunday the 17th with a series of tastings and dinners. The main event is Sunday’s Grand Tasting, showcasing over 75 phenomenal producers of pinot noir. Sample up to 400 pinots from every important domestic pinot noir region, from the Russian River Valley to the Santa Lucia Highlands, Oregon to Carneros, the Anderson Valley to the Sonoma Coast to the Santa Rita Hills. The event, happening at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, is from 1-5pm and is a mere 50 bucks.

If you like to pair your wine with fine food there are a couple of extra special dinners too. Their “Table Hop” pinot-paired dinners, taking place at Sage on the Coast in Newport Beach ($100) and The Peninsula Beverly Hills ($120), are exclusive events hosted by the wine-makers themselves. Sample some of the best pinots around as you mix and mingle with other wine lovers.

If you can’t make those events check out the tastings of wines at some local wine shops around town. On Jan 14 (4-7pm) at the Wine Exchange in Orange, sample Morgan Winery, Coho Wines, Sequana Vineyards, Scherrer Winery, and J Vineyards & Winery all for $20. On Jan 14 (5-7pm) at K&L Wine Merchants Hollywood, sample Ken Brown Wines, Willamette Valley Vineyards, La Fenetre, and Keller Estate for $25. Then on Jan 15 (7-9pm) at the Wine House in West LA, sample Suacci Carciere Wines, MacRostie Winery, Carr Vineyards & Winery, Fess Parker Winery , August West, and Lachini Vineyards all for just $25.
