American Wine and Food Festival, The who’s who of the culinary world descends on Los Angeles for the Annual American Wine and Food Festival. The star-studded gathering of over 40 celebrated chefs and more than 70 fine wine and spirit purveyors unite to benefit Los Angeles Meals on Wheels.Wolfgang Puck and Barbara Lazaroff present this renowned event, which is open to the public and features live bands, a silent auction and, of course, an epicurean feast. 2,200 guests attend this festival annually. The Puck/Lazaroff Charitable Foundation puts together an esteemed line-up of celebrity chefs. Past chefs have included: The Food Network’s Bobby Flay, Babbo’s Mario Batali, Nobu Matsuhisa of Matsuhisa and Ubon, Le Bernardin’s Eric Ripert, Michael Mina of Michael Mina Bellagio, and Slanted Door’s Charles Phan.

Morton's and the Mondavi Families: Celebrating the Legendary Blend., On October 7th at 5pm, The Mondavi Families, including members of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations, will host Morton's guests across the country for an unforgettable wine dinner benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is the first time I've ever seen a "pairing" that included technology in the mix. The event will be broadcast live from the Carriage House at Charles Krug Winery, straight into the private dining rooms at various Morton's locations. By utilizing Velocity technology available in Morton's private dining rooms, guests in 53 Morton's locations will be served the exact same menu and wine as guests at the Charles Krug Carriage House in Napa Valley. Cost is $175 pp.
