Roy’s popular Island Hop Dinner is back. This dinner pays homage to the “Traditions of a Hawaiian Celebration,” which showcases Chef Roy Yamaguchi’s brilliant fusion of Hawaiian, European and Asian flavors and selected wines from Oberon Wines.The menu features sushi rolls, grilled yellow fin ahi steak cassoulet, imu smoked pork shank braised in cabernet, loin of lamb seasoned with Hawaiian salt, and for dessert, sweet mango butter cake, served with Kona coffee and loose-leaf teas.
The Island Hop Dinner is $55 without the wine pairings, $85 with. The downtown Los Angeles location is having their dinner tonight only (Aug 5) from 6:30-10pm. Some Roy’s are doing it tonight and tomorrow night. This event might sell out so call ahead or make reservations online.

Sounds delish (and I’ve been meaning to try Roy’s for awhile) but alas, I’ll be at Caroline on Crack’s party and probably grabbing some cheapo sobering-up / alchy-soaking grub …. tacos mighty high on that list
