Word on the downtown LA bar scene is that Bar107 owner Brian, has taken over the space at Charlie O’s. Nestled into the bottom of the Alexandria Hotel, it’s even more divey than Bar107. On Sundays they feature a live stage production of Point Break. That’s right, the cheesy 90’s surf/action movie is now a live stage show. Even better, every Sunday, they choose someone from the audience to play Johnny Utah. The show producers figure it’s the best way to achieve the slow-talking, deer-in-the-headlights acting style Keanu perfected in Point Break.
Other nights feature live bands, DJ’s, stand-up and the such.
