Rouxbe has introduced an interesting contest for you home Chefs out there called “So You Think You Can Toss”. They just released their pan tossing lesson plan. Which I’ve watched and I can’t wait to try my new skills. Now they are inviting people to post video of their own pan tosses on YouTube. The first-place winner will receive an 11-inch Viking Fry Pan (valued at $180) plus a lifetime membership to Rouxbe (valued at $199). Five runner-ups will receive an annual membership (valued at $99 USD). Contestants will be judged on the: most creative pan toss, most unique location and the funniest video. I’m thinking costumes and some sort of flambé.
