We first wrote that Liberty Grill was closed for an extreme makeover back in November of last year. We had hoped that something good was gonna go into this amazing space, then sure enough Blog downtown announced that El Cholo was moving into the spot. Earlier this month, Blog Downtown announced they were opening in June. Well, it looks like they are right on schedule, slated to open the first week of June (exact date unknown). The sign has been painted, patio seats were being set up this past weekend, with great views of the lofts of South Park, LA Live and Staples center, it looks like this will be some of the best Al Fresco dining in all of downtown. It’s only days before the paper comes down and we’ll get our first look into the newest location of the venerable El Cholo restaurant. Viva la margaritas.

Big freegin’ deal. The alchoholic set that can actually afford Betty Ford that’s moved into South Park cares only about drinking. Obvious from the “viva las margaritas!”.
