Most recently Angelo has obtained, via some sort of auction, a very rare Venetian recipe book dating back to the 5th century. Chef Roberto Franzoni who worked mostly in Venice (Cipriani, Piron), will be cooking up these old, forgotten recipes. On Wednesday, July 15, All’ Angelo will host its first “night in Venice.” Menu items include Branzino croquette, a Venetian style Cod Fish with grilled Radicchio, Squid ink infused Bigoli with Clams, Bread Gnocchi in Capon broth with diced Parmesan cheese, Pork Ribs and home made Sausage with Braised Savoy Cabage, and for dessert, Rice Cake and Baicoi Cookies.
The cost is just $45 plus an optional $28 for the Vignalta wine pairing. Space is limited for these intimate dinners; please make reservations by calling 323-933-9540. As of this posting on Monday night they still had reservations available.
