It’s hot and muggy out. One of those days when water just ain’t gonna do it. So you look into your cabinet, pull out a bottle of Tres Generaciones, and channel the powers of National Tequila Ambassador Eddie Perales. Dig Lounge was poolside at the W Hotel in Westwood this week with the charming and talented barsmith and Ambassador for Tres Generaciones. He’s got old school talent with the shakers and new school talent with mixing cocktails. Here are a few of the recipes you might want to bring out next time you need a little help cooling down. A pool to dip your feet in helps too.

This beauty of a drink was Angela’s favorite. Similar to the LA Love, with the kick of a little ginger.

In celebration of Obama enjoying a margarita at Macayo’s in Pheonix last week, they named this classic adaption of the margarita in his honer. Just a splash of brandy adds a little extra kick. Yes you can!

Nice recipes. I just got back from lunch at the W and their backyard burger is pretty legit.

Damn! You were there too? I’m seeing all these local LA drink folks whose sites I love posting about it, and yet I didn’t meet any of you. Oh well, next time. I was there, but I left after an hour. I was starting a new job the next day, and thought a tequila hangover maybe wasn’t the best foot to put forward.

Yup, I was there. Too bad we didnt meet… next time hopefully! We’re always drinking, as was apparent at the Malibu Wine Classic this weekend.
