If you decide to go wine tasting you have a few options for the area of So Cal. Temecula, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, and a couple of choices in Malibu. You can hit up a wine tasting event at the Wine House or Silverlake Wine.

Or you could check out the San Antonio Winery. None of my friends know this place exists and I sort of like that. Well I guess they do now, because I know of course they ALL read this blog, right? Friends? Hello? Is this thing on?

The winery is a City of Los Angeles, Historical Landmark. They buy their grapes from various vineyards throughout California and make the wine here in downtown LA.

Their wines range from forgettable to decent and are priced from 10-30 dollars a bottle. They have a restaurant on site and a banquet room for parties, wedding receptions, etc.

They feature an array of wine seminars throughout the year and are worth checking out if you’re interested in learning more about wine.

Maddalena Restaurant, situated inside the winery, is set up strangely. You walk in and on the table is a display of cellophane wrapped dishes featuring their dishes of the day. It’s an odd way to present food and didn’t look very appetizing so we opted for dinner somewhere else.
