There’s more stuff to do this weekend that you can shake a mozzarella stick at. One last lobster festival this weekend, what is that now, three weekends in a row? Plus, celebrate your Italian American heritage at the Feast of LA or celebrate the Fall harvest and get your pumpkin early. If you like Fragile Rock and are a fan of Statler & Waldorf, then you’ll love Puppet Up! by the Jim Henson Company at the Avalon. Check out the great music at Union Station with Flea, the Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice or the Brazilian Street Carnaval in Long Beach. And finally, explore what Downtown LA has to offer at the Grand Avenue Festival. I’m exhausted already.

Parking is at Hollywood and Highland or save yourself the headache and take the metro red line.
Sept 27 – Oct 31 – 11th Annual Fall Harvest Festival
(9am-6pm) Moorpark
Summer is over so kick off Fall at the 11th Annual Fall Harvest Festival in Moorpark. It’s never too early to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Enjoy lots of food and craft vendors. Plus, this weekend only, enjoy Oktoberfest. On Sat and Sun a noontime parade known as the “Grand Entry” in Germany, with costumed dancers and musicians, will kick it off at noon. After the entry, Oktoberfest tradition dictates that a city dignitary taps a large barrel of beer. The spigot is opened and Oktoberfest “bar maidens” serve beverages to festival-goers. Sounds like a party to me.
