A Scotch Civil War: Distillery Bottlings vs. Independent Bottlings
West Los Angeles (7:30-9pm)
In order to reproduce that familiar house style, distilleries carefully mix different types of barrels aged in different part of the warehouse. On the other hand, independent bottlers hunt for distinctive barrels that present surprising contrasts to the familiar distillery flavors and bottle these select barrels under their own labels. In this first of its kind class, you will get to compare distillery whiskeys side-by-side with their independently bottled counterparts. Which method is better? For 75 bones, come and decide for yourself at the Wine House.
Chilean Wine and Jazz
South Pasadena (6-10pm)
Enjoy live jazz music and some great wine from Chile at Wine Styles in South Pasadena. They’ll be doing a special pouring of Chilean Wines from the renowned wine maker J.
