NoHo Dine Out Fridays with Santa
North Hollywood (4:30-8pm)
NoHo Dine Out Fridays takes place every Friday in North Hollywood (11458 Burbank Blvd). Each NoHo Dine Out Fridays will feature 8-10 Gourmet Food Trucks, 8-10 Booth Vendors, street musicians, visits by Santa, and other special events.

Saturday, December 17

3rd Annual SANTA Monica Pub Crawl
Santa Monica
Fast becoming a yearly tradition, the 3rd Annual SANTA Monica Pub Crawl is set for Saturday, December 17, 2011. The Holiday Spirit prevailed last year with over 3,000 participants raising enough food for 21,000 meals. Throughout the night, over 20 bars and restaurants will come together to raise money for those in need during the holidays through a partnership with the Westside Food Bank. Participating locations will offer drink and food specials as part of the SANTA Monica Pub Crawl festivities. This year, crawlers are asked to pay a $10 donation/entrance fee for a special wristband, which allows them access to the drink and food specials at each official location. The Big Blue Bus will also be selling unlimited bus passes for $4.00 on the pub crawl Web site.

Tarascos Free Taco Giveaway
Los Angeles (3-7pm)
Tarascos Restaurant in Silver Lake is giving out free tacos from 3-7pm on Saturday. Choose one from a selection of three mouthwatering options: carnitas, chicken and steak tacos. And to wash it all down, they will have discounted margaritas and draft beers for just $4! There will also be live music so stay awhile and enjoy your Saturday afternoon.

Breakfast with Santa
Downtown Los Angeles
Patina’s Catering at the Music Center will present its own spin on “Breakfast with Santa” on December 17 and 18 starting at 9:30 a.m., with a later seating at 12:00 p.m. A lavish buffet ($39 for Adults and $16 for kids 3-10) will include such items as the Winter Waldorf salad—a specialty dish—with toasted walnuts, red flame grapes, and herb aïoli, and a “build your own buttermilk pancakes” station with toppings including blueberries, strawberries, bananas, chocolate chips, whipped butter, and warm Vermont maple syrup. The entrée finale is a hand-carved Nueske’s apple wood smoked honey glazed ham. The dessert station will feature a holiday candy bar. Warm spiced apple cider along with regular and chocolate milk will be served. Adults will also enjoy complimentary mimosa or Champagne, and other adult beverages will be available for additional costs.

2nd Annual Fugly Sweater Party
Eagle Rock
Wear your Fugliest sweater to Eagle Rock Brewery, it’s time for their second annual Fugly Sweater Party. Get judged at 8pm, the uglier the sweater, the better chances you have of winning something better to wear! Grill Em All will be out that night, so be sure to wow them with how hideous your sweater is, and they can make your burger extra sloppy to drip down the front of it.

Teddy Bear Tea
Celebrate the holiday season at The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa with the Teddy Bear Tea, a special event featuring holiday storytelling, afternoon tea for children and adults, a puppet show and photos with Santa. Adults will enjoy Langham’s Signature Afternoon Tea, while children can munch on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, gingerbread cookies, hot chocolate, milk and other goodies. The event costs $50 per person and is held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Lobby Lounge. Each guest of Teddy Bear Tea is asked to bring one unwrapped, packaged gift for donation to a children’s charity. The Mozza Cookbook Signing with Nancy Silverton
Los Angeles
Short Cake opens up on Friday and Nancy will be stopping by on Sunday and will be signing her latest New York Times Best Sellers List release, The Mozza Cookbook: Recipes from Los Angeles’s Favorite Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. Books will be available for purchase for $35. For holiday gift giving, books will also be available packaged with a $10 gift card to Short Cake and a sleeve of Nancy’s favorite chocolate chip cookies for $50.


Mohawk Monday and Pizza Palooza
Echo Park (5pm)
Every Monday at Mohawk Bend in Echo Park, enjoy $4 beer specials all night, along with $12 all you can eat pizza in the Ramona Room! Choices include piping hot vegan and non-vegan pies coming out every 5 minutes, and servers coming through to replenish plates with fresh slices.

Sunday Suppers at Cecconi’s
West Hollywood
An elegant Sunday Supper that will feed up to four for just $50? Cecconi’s in West Hollywood has you covered. Chef Andrea Cavaliere brings classic Italian comforts such as wood-oven fired artisanal pizza, a hearty bowl of pasta and seasonal salad to the dinner table on Sundays at Cecconi’s – all with a sophisticated setting and price that’s hard to beat. Wine specials include a bottle of house red or white for $25. And if you have an additional guest in your group, add a pizza or pasta for just $12.50.

Sunday Supper at Potato Chips

Every Sunday, Potato Chips, the cheery Beverly Blvd sandwich shop by Steven Arroyo will be serving up a Sunday Supper. The four course menu will include items like Sweet Onion Parmesan Velout?, Au Gratin Spring Squash with Herbed Bread Crumbs, and Braised Beef Brisket with Crispy Shallots and Garlic, followed by a house-made dessert. Weekend Flights at Rosso Wine Shop

A new wine theme each week. Whether it is their Old World favorites or Pinot Noir from Russian River, they mix it up and keep the price reasonable. Visit www.rossowineshop.com for more details. They also have wines by the glass available at the bar, along with some select beer picks by the bottle, if the wine flight doesn’t work for you. Cost is around $10.

Wine Pairing Wednesday at Upstairs2
West LA (7:30 p.m.)
Upstairs 2, located above the massive Wine House, offers a four-course dinner prepared by chef Todd Barrie every Wednesday, paired with four wines from around the world selected by sommelier Marilyn Snee. January 14 – A celebration of some the world best beers in Los Angeles the Bock Fest Winter Beer festival features some of the great seasonal beers along with local favorites from micro-brews to large brew houses in the US. The Bock Fest takes place at the Vanguard LA, and tickets are just $25 and include a souvenir glass. VIP tickets with early admission are available for $65. The event also includes the winter beer championship with judges from all around the world to crown the winning. The judging panel includes beer experts, master brewers, brewery owners, and beer drinkers like you.
