Downtown Los Angeles (3-5pm)
It’s fitting that Esotouric is doing a special Thanksgiving Dinner at Clifton’s Cafeteria in Downtown. Yes, they serve turkey dinners with all the fixings all year long, and while the experience is far often better than the food, it makes a great themed destination for your Holiday dinner. During dinner they’ll wax poetic about Clifton’s rich history, while you shovel down large plates of mashed potatoes, turkey, and dressing, all for around ten bucks. Head up to the third floor’s Victorian dining room for all the fun.

Silverlake (10am-4pm)

Friday, Nov 27

Black Friday
(All over Los Angeles)
According to Wikipedia the term “Black Friday” originated in Philadelphia in reference to the heavy traffic on that day. But it’s also thought to refer to the beginning of the period in which retailers go from being in the red (posting a loss) to being in the black (turning a profit). Almost every major retailer has some sort of a sale going on. Most stores open extra early on this day, and people line up hours in advance to get first crack at all the crap no one really needs.
