Roller Derby madness

Growing up I loved movies that included roller skates and violence. As I kid I would catch movies like Rollerball and Unholy Rollers on cable TV. Note: I have not seen, nor will I ever see the Rollerball remake. I watched the entire first season of the Rollergirls on A&E. I figured there must be something like this in LA. And sure enough, last year I was out at Bar107 in downtown LA and found out about the LA Derby Dolls!

If you want an alternative entertainment option this weekend, check out the banked track bout in downtown on Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 the bout is at 8pm. Live music by the Randies and the Briggs. Perfect music for boozing and ass kickin’ good times…

Don’t miss our bout against TXRD (the A&E Rollergirls), tentatively scheduled for January 27th, at our track on the top floor of the Little Tokyo Shopping Center! More info will be available soon at

We hope to see you there (and Bar 107 for the after party!).
