PizzaRev, the new fast casual pizza concept is opening a new location in Studio City. On the heals of the successful Northridge location, it’s now slinging custom made pies at their Ventura Blvd location. Located in a strip mall that seems enamored with the made to order concept, with The Counter Burger and Chipotle located just a stones throw away. In similar fashion, you pick your Roman-style thin crust (regular or gluten free), then your sauce, cheese(s) and toppings. All for the very affordable price of $7.95.
Making pizzas at home, buying all those ingredients, seems like a chore now. Choosing from the vast selection of fresh ingredients is the hardest part at PizzaRev. After they are carefully assembled, your za’s are tossed in the state-of-the-art, open-flame stone-bed oven that can reach temperatures nearing 1000°F. Although today, it was at a warm 515°. I like my pizza a little more well done, and maybe I’ll ask them to give it a little extra crisp next time. That’s the beauty of ordering custom made pizzas. Of course, if you still have room, grab a Dessert Pizza made with Cinnamon, Powdered Sugar and Icing, and a choice of Chocolate, Raspberry, or Caramel finishing sauces.
