Diablo, the self proclaimed Urban Taco Fabricator and crafter of fine Micheladas, has sprouted up in the old La Parrilla space on Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake. The building has been painted black and construction is buzzing along inside. What is an urban taco? Well, opened by Sinister Culinary Group, according to it’s Facebook page they will be offering a unique take on tacos, including “exotic tastes, rare ingredients, innovative preparations and artful plating…”
Serving up local draft beer and boutique wine along with said Micheladas. A Guadalajara rooted concoction of beer, juice, spices and tomato juice, just in time to cool the heat of summer and their assumingly spicy eats. The drinks will be created by the “Chef and mixologist to incorporate seasonal herbs, exotic salts and unlikely acids to create mouthwatering elixirs…”
Expect an opening this week. Just in time too, it’s hot out there and I could use a mouthwatering elixir. Follow them on Facebook here.

This place looks and sounds amazing, I cannot wait!
Bout time someone started serving serious micheladas. I’m there.
Diablo is probably going to be a step up from La Parrilla, but using the word fabricate seems odd. Are they making drill bits or tacos?
Yeah, an odd choice for a tagline, hopefully it’s more than just a gimmick.
As long as it’s not $13 for an alligator taco…
This place sounds awful. Sounds and looks like it belongs in an outdoor mall.
