Lucha VaVoom makes its very first orange curtain appearance on Friday at the Grove of Anaheim. Burlesque dancers, Midgets, and Luchadores, plus nitro-burning funny Chickens, dragster Cassandro and of course everyone’s favorite fightin’ females, the Poubelles. Tickets are $25-$50. Saturday

Be green on Saturday at the Venice Beach Eco Fest. Celebrate Earth Day LA from 10am-7pm with musical Performances by Superbroke Brass & Tin & Strings Marching Band Ensemble, Stephen Longfellow Fiske and Band, Kathy Leonardo and more. Enjoy dance presentations from local schools, all presented FREE on a stage powered by the sun. Learn new ways to save our earth, such as using alternative energy, and electric cars.. There will be a variety of green technological displays, all spreading new ideas that can show us how in our daily lives we can help save energy and money for the health of planet Earth.

From 12-4pm on Saturday check out the the No Cookie Left Behind Bake Sale at Scoops. It’s a part of Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, dedicated to fighting childhood hunger in the United States. This year’s offerings include banana caramel cake, homemade chocolate peanut butter cups, chocolate Guinness cake, cupcakes by the dozen, lemon bars, zucchini bread, sweet almond bread, a wild mushroom tart, many mini banana bread loaves, Spork Foods vegan cookies, Paulette macarons, Lark Cake Shop cakes, and much, much more. Don’t miss out on the LA Derby Dolls National Invitational, Battle of the Bank on Saturday and Sunday from 3-9pm. If you want to escape from the city check out the Santa Barbara Wine Festival on Saturday at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Enjoy the museum along with wines from some of the Central Coasts best wineries, like Foxen, Cottonwood, IO, Alma Rosa and more. Enjoy food from the areas best caterers, bakers and chefs. Sunday
