A VeeV Spa Cooler
April 22 is Earth Day. How are you gonna celebrate? You can plant a tree, buy a re-usable cup, take the bus and turn off all the lights in your house. Or you can enjoy a environmentally friendly beverage that is also good for your body at The Bar in Hollywood.
They will be serving VeeV Spa Coolers at The Bar on April 22nd. Along with a live performance from blues rocker JohnnyFromKings. It promises to be a fun night.
Veev is made from the amazonian fruit called the Açaí berry (pronounced ah-sigh-ee). The berry is filled with antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids. It also has 30 times more anthocyanins than red wine. Those are the recently popular anti-aging goodies found in the grapes that are used to make red wine. It also contains monounsaturated (healthy) fats, dietary fiber, amino acids and all sorts of other good stuff.
Veev is produced at Distilled Resources, the only distiller in America to get at leat 25% of is power from wind. The company supports the Sustainable Açaí Project and the Rainforest Action Network and is active is a host of other environmental organizations.
The drink is very refreshing with hints of melon, cherry and citrus. I prefer it with just a little soda water. It’s got a slight flavoring from the prickly pear, known for being a natural hang-over cure. I have yet to get a hang over drinking this. As a matter of fact, you never really feel all the drunk off this 60 proof booze.
VeeV Spa Cooler recipe:
