Wine and Cheese at Olive & Thyme

Cheese is a natural choice for wine pairing. We could live off cheese, wine, and cured meats alone. Maybe the French have something going there. Olive & Thyme, Burbank’s favorite gourmet cafe and marketplace is offering wine and cheese lovers a unique opportunity to rub elbows with cheesemonger Tyler Schwarz. Owner Melina Davies has hand-slected six wines from around the globe to pair with each

selection of cheese.

Participants will sample over a dozen cheeses, and learn about criteria such as length of aging, texture, methods of making, fat content, animal milk, and region of origin.

Tickets for the event, taking place on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., are $45 a person. Space is limited. Reserve by calling (818) 557-1560 or email Gayle@OliveandThyme.com. Other ongoing events worth checking out at Olive & Thyme include grill cheese nights on Thursdays and burger nights on Fridays.
