Something for the weekend: Temecula WOW

main-temecula-WOWGrab a picnic basket and head for the hills. The hills of the Temecula Valley. The first official tasting event of the year, hosted by the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, offers passport holders a chance to sample dozens of flights and bites at 30+ wineries along an easy circuitous route via Rancho California and DePortola Roads. That’s right, we said dozens. So make sure you bring along a designated driver or hire an UBER driver for the day.

Giving wine aficionados a sneak-peak at new spring releases, World of Wine is a chance for winos to try barrel samples of new wines, enjoy food pairings, and take in Temecula Valley wine country’s stunning winter scenery. The diverse “World of Wine” theme showcases more than 40 wine grapes grown and bottled in Temecula Valley, from sparkling to sweet, white to red, and everything in between.

The World of Wine weekend takes place March 7-8. 2-Day Tickets: $99. Sunday-Only Tickets: $79. Local residents of Temecula/Murrieta 2-Day Tickets: $79. Designated Driver (food only) Tickets: $69. Call (800) 801-9463 for tickets by phone or purchase online at TemeculaWines.org/Events.
