There was much ado when the J Gold left LA Weekly for the LA Times. Another lingering question was what would happen to the much lauded annual foodie event The Gold Standard. No word on what Mr Gold will be doing, if anything at the Times, but LA Weekly isn’t skipping a beat. Just last week, tickets went on sale for PLATE.
Silly cartoon (bear?) characters eating bacon aside, their fifth annual food and wine event features the same high quality selection of 40 restaurants, like Border Grille, Jitlada, La Casita, Lukshon, Mo-Chica, Night + Market, Nickel Diner, Oinkster, Picca, Kogi, and more. This year, Downtown LA’s BUZZ Wine Beer Shop will be curating a special selection of 30 top shelf wines. And of course, Stella will be there pouring the brews.
The event takes place on Sunday, March 3 from 1-5 PM at Peterson Automotive Museum. Tickets are $75 and include unlimited food, beer and wine. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $95 and include entry into the event at Noon and a swag bag. Get your tickets now!
