The nations largest independent, family-owned and operated producer of spirits is teaming up with Chef Daniel Roberts at CAFE del REY on Thursday, February 7. Bourbon lovers are invted to “Shine by the Sea” delectable dinner paired with hand-crafted cocktails and neat pours of Heaven Hill Distilleries bourbon.
Chef Roberts is preparing four delectable courses and Heaven Hill Los Angeles Manager, Andie Brokaw, will be present to lead the tasting, and provide introductions to each spirit. The California-influenced Mediterranean dishes include:
- Day Boat Scallops with fennel, fennel puree, farro, marcona almonds, vanilla-almond sauce, paired with Larceny “Lock and Key”
- Niman Ranch Pork Cheeks with an apple and sweet potato hash, corn relish, paired with Evan Williams “Kentucky Cider”
- Venison Rack with artichokes, blood oranges, butter beans, juniper, paired with Elijah Craig “Side Car”
- Spiced Ginger Bread with smoked raisin compote, malted ice cream, barley tuile, mint, vanilla), paired with Rittenhouse “Mint Julep”
