Cabbage Patch is now serving its farm fresh food in Dowtown Los Angeles. Chef and owner Samir Mohajer’s third location of his farm to table cafe is situated in the heart of the financial district. Mohajer comes from a long line of restaurants specializing in premium fresh ingredients. His resume includes Little Door and Rustic Canyon, two favorites here at Dig Lounge. Its varied menu is perfect for the downtown lunch crowd. Its selection of fresh salads, soups, sandwiches, pizzette, rotisserie chicken, bowls with pan seared tofu, Jidori chicken, and salmon, plus a house made falafel, beef gyro, and chicken kabob, will please just about anyone.
Managing partner Harold Karsenty, knowing my affinity for burgers, suggests their Niman Ranch burger. This burger makes it on the list as one of the best in Downtown. A juicy Niman Ranch ground beef patty, with applewood smoked bacon, sharp Tillamook cheddar, arugula, ketchup & aioli on a brioche bun.
For now, they are open Monday through Friday from 11am-6pm. A bonus for those living downtown, they have plans for Saturday and dinner hours that will start later this month. Cabbage Patch is located at 520 W 6th St. between Grand and Olive.
