The Larchmont Village Farmer’s Market is a wonderful thing. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon sampling the fresh organic fruit and cheeses, tasting olive oils, noshing on fresh hummus or eating crepes. There is is the roast chicken dude with rows of whole roasted chicken, spinning over fire in his custom roasting truck. As the chicken spins, the drippings fall on the roasted potatoes below.

I couldn’t wait to take a bite
But I come to the Market for the tamales from Me Gusta. They are enormous, filled with tasty pork, chicken, beef, pineapple or chili cheese and surrounded with fresh, fluffy masa. The red and green salsa is amazing and I always get one of each to go with the tamale. You can eat it there or have it para llevar and take home a dozen or two or three. I could eat these all week.
